
Bristol, Conn./WTIC Radio - Police launched an investigation Wednesday amid reports that a student may have been in possession of a weapon on the campus of Bristol Eastern High School.
Police and the Board of Education were notified and the school was placed into "secure school" mode.
A student was removed from school, police said.
No weapon was found and the incident was not deemed a threat "to the school or community", according to police.
They did not say whether the student removed was placed under arrest.
Police say the incident remains under investigation.
