According to AAA, the price for a gallon of regular nationally is $4.98.

That's two cents lower than it was on Friday.

Here in Connecticut, the average price is $4.96, down a penny from the day prior.

If there's any silver lining, it's the fact the price is largely unchanged in Connecticut from a week ago, but still up over 30-cents from a month ago and nearly $2 more in the state in the last year.

The motor club reports the price of diesel in Connecticut is $6.16 a gallon on average.
