Reward in Colchester homicide probe increased

Colchester, Conn./WTIC Radio - State police are announcing an increase in the reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of whomever is responsible for the death of a man in Colchester five years ago.

Detectives have been investigating the death of 36-year-old James Stone, Jr.

He was found shot to death in his trailer on Stanavage Road on May 18, 2018.

The $25,000 reward that was originally announced in January 2022 has now climbed to $50,000.

Anyone with any information in the case is asked to contact state police.

Investigators say all information will be kept confidential.
