
Plainville, Conn./WTIC Radio - Police in Plainville are investigating a shooting in town that left one person wounded.

Officers say around 10:30 this morning, they received the call to the Hamlin View Terrace apartment complex on Woodford Avenue.
When they arrived, they found a 22-year-old man suffering from two gunshot wounds.
Detectives say it appears the victim was shot while in his vehicle and left to seek help from residents inside, before officers assisted and he was transported to an area hospital.
The suspect or suspects fled in a newer model SUV, possibly an Acura, Mercedes, or Audi, according to police.
In addition, police say two schools were placed in a modified lockdown for about an hour.
Police think the shooting was a targeted incident and that there's no threat to the public.
