Plantsville, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - The operators of the state's ski resorts are gearing up for the coming season.
It's a season they hope will include fewer restrictions and be more in line with what they saw pre-pandemic.
At Mouth Southington in Plantsville, general manager Jay Dougherty says they actually had a decent season last year in spite of mask and other restructions.
He says that allowed them to make upgrades to the facility prior to this coming season.
Those improvements include renovations to the cafeteria, chair lift, and snow-making aparatus.
Dougherty says depending on how the weather shakes out, they're planning for a mid-December ski season opening.
