
Middletown, Conn./WTIC Radio - It was a deadly weekend on state roads in Connecticut over the Memorial Day holiday.

State police say there were ten fatalities total for the period.
That includes four who died in a wrong way crash early Sunday morning on Interstate 95 in Guilford.
Troopers also say four people died in Thompson on Monday when the driver of one vehicle tried to pass another on Quaddick Town Farm Road, ran off the road and slammed into a tree.
All told, troopers responded to a total of 359 crashes, 35 with injuries--one serious.
There were over 6,400 calls for service.
Also, 615 were written up for speeding, 145 for seatbelt violations, and 451 for other hazardous moving violations like unsafe lane changes and following too close.
State troopers also made 37 DUI arrests for the period.
