The Hartford Animal Shelter is looking for a rescue or family for a young dog hit by a car and suffering a broken leg.
The dog is described as friendly and good with kids, but the city doesn’t have funding for the medical care needed. Christine and Salt chatted with Hartford Animal Control Officer Sherry DeGenova, and Officer DeGenova says the surgery could cost upwards of two-thousand dollars, money the city doesn't have. Listen to the interview below, and if you can help, please contact Officer DeGenova at 860-757-4390.
