Chaplin, Conn./WTIC Radio - It was a wild Saturday of weather in Connecticut with two rounds of heavy rain and a tornado to boot.
Heavy rain in the afternoon and early evening left some streets flooded but no significant issues.
The National Weather Service says a confirmed tornado was spotted over Chaplin around 7:40 p.m.
That left tree limbs down and some local roads blocked but otherwise no major damage was reported.
The weather service is expected to survey the damage later today to try and determine the strength of the storm.
Eversource worked to restore power outages, which numbered just shy of 900 as of 7:15 a.m. Sunday.
