Hartford, Conn./WTIC Radio - Police body cam video of an arrest in Milford in which the suspect died shortly thereafter has been released by the state inspector general's office.
Just after 10:30 on Wednesday, June 5th, officers were called to the Big Y supermarket on Boston Post Road on a report of a shoplifting.
They encountered Michael Brown, 52, in the parking lot.
Brown had been wanted on eight outstanding warrants for shoplifting.
In the video, Brown ignores officers' commands to stop and he enters his car.
The video shows Brown being physically removed from the vehicle while complaining of shortness of breath and leg pain.
Brown stopped breathing en route to Milford Hospital and was later pronounced dead.
The medical examiner has not yet determined an exact cause of death.
