
Waterbury, Conn. (WTIC Radio)-A suspect wanted in a Waterbury weekend homicide that also injured a second woman has been found dead in West Haven, the victim of a suicide, police said.
Waterbury Police Chief Fernando Spagnolo said Police responded to Hill Street in Waterbury early Saturday morning. They found 35-year-old Glenys Naomi Aloyo deceased from several gunshot wounds.
A second 38-year-old female was wounded and is in stable condition at Saint Mary's Hospital.
Police obtained an arrest warrant for Hernandez charging him with Murder, Criminal Attempt at Murder, First Degree Assault and multiple firearm violations.
Police traced the suspect, 43-year-old Omar Hernandez of Waterbury, to an apartment on Bullet Hill Road in West Haven on Sunday. When police arrived, a female ran from the apartment into the arms of officers, saying Hernandez shot himself.

Police discovered Hernandez dead from a single gunshot wound to the head. His death has been ruled a homicide.
Chief Spagnolo said Aloyo and Hernandez were in a relationship but were estranged. Aloyo leaves behind two children.
