WATERBURY, Conn. (WTIC Radio)—Waterbury police have arrested a man in connection with a homicide that took place in late July as investigators search for a second suspect.
On July 24, Waterbury police responded to a shooting incident in the area of East Farm Street.
Officers located two victims upon arrival. One had a gunshot wound to the shoulder/chest area and the other had a gunshot wound to the leg, police said. After both victims were transported to the hospital, police said a third gunshot victim arrived to a local hospital for treatment.
The victim with a wound to the chest area later died at St. Mary's Hospital, police said. Officials identified him as Douglas Daniels, 37, of New Haven.
Investigators identified two suspects. On Tuesday, August 10, Waterbury officers arrested Andre Reed, 29, of Waterbury.
Reed has been charged with murder, conspiracy to murder and two counts of first degree of assault.
Authorities have an arrest warrant with about 10 different charges, including murder, for the second suspect they're searching for: Reginald Miles, 31, of Waterbury.
Miles should be considered armed and dangerous, police said.
