New Haven, Conn./WTIC Radio - A woman in New Haven is facing charges following the death earlier this year of her ten-month old baby boy.
The infant was unresponsive when officers showed up to 40-year-old Alexandra Polino's Farren Avenue residence on June 28.
It was later determined that the baby died after ingesting illegal drugs including fentanyl.
The child's death has been ruled a homicide.
Polino is now charged with manslaughter and two counts of risk of injury.
She was arraigned Tuesday and is now free on a $250,000 bond.
Polino is due back in court November 8th.
