
Southington, Conn./WTIC Radio - An arrest has been made in an animal cruelty case from over the summer in Southington.
Police expect to charge a second person, as well.
Karenlynne Gatling, 24, faces one count of aninmal cruelty stemming from the shooting of a dog on August 17.
At the time, police say Gatling was staying at a home on Defashion Street when Maurice McElrath, 43, of Waterbury, allegedly shot the dog because it was barking.
Police say Gatling did not help the dog left it to die.
Her bond was set at $25,000.00.
There's a warrant out for the McElrath on an animal cruelty charge.
