
HAMDEN, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Hamden Police are investigating a pocketbook robbery.
Police say a suspect pushed a 61-year-old woman to the ground from behind in the Hamden Plaza parking lot at 2100 Dixwell Avenue around 5 p.m. Monday. The suspect stole the woman's pocketbook.

The suspect was described as a black male, approximately 16-17 years old, 5’8”-5’10”, thin build, low cut hair (shaved on the sides), wearing black pants and a black hooded sweatshirt.
The suspect fled in a newer model, black colored car which was followed by a newer model, white colored car. Both vehicles fled from the shopping plaza towards the Spring Glen neighborhood.
A good Samaritan located some of the discarded personal belongings of the victim.
