Titled "Be Alive," the singer’s latest single is specifically set to appear on the soundtrack for the upcoming biopic King Richard. Okay so not quite "new music" from Queen B. But still… it’s a new song and Beyoncé is singing it, so we’ll take what we can get.
The track, which Bey co-produced and wrote alongside Dixson — starts off with an eerie echo which quickly transitions to a soulful boppy ballad with some help from powerful drum beats, ferocious bass and added little guitar licks.

"It feels so good to be alive," B sings on the chorus, "Got all my sisters by my side/Couldn’t wipe this black off if I tried/That’s why I lift my hеad with pride/Now we’re sitting on top of thе world again."
Previously teased in the film’s trailer, released back in October. “Be Alive” perfectly encompasses the biopic, which stars Will Smith as Richard Williams, father and coach of tennis stars Venus and Serena Williams.
Last time we musically heard something new from Beyoncé was last year, when she released the one-off single, “Black Parade,” as well the visual album, Black Is King, a companion passion project to her 2019 soundtrack for the live-action Lion King curated soundtrack — The Lion King: The Gift.
