Tour de Pier

2 Manhattan Beach Blvd.
Manhattan Beach, CA 90266
The 9th Annual Tour de Pier, one of Southern California’s most anticipated fitness fundraisers will resume live and in-person at the iconic Manhattan Beach Pier & Strand the weekend after Labor Day. The award-winning charity event brings one of the hottest indoor fitness activities – stationary cycling – outdoors to one of Los Angeles’ iconic, beachside communities, with a set up that overlooks the beautiful Pacific Ocean. The charity event will benefit three nonprofit cancer organizations: Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research; the Cancer Support Community Redondo Beach and the Uncle Kory Foundation for Brain Cancer Research. In compliance with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health and the CDC guidelines, the Tour de Pier will practice appropriate health and safety protocols including, but not limited to the physical distance of all stationary bikes.
The area’s best instructors and celebrity guests will spin riders through five 45-minute sessions with energizing music and loads of excitement. In addition to cycling, there will be a FREE Health & Fitness Expo. Since debuting in 2013, the Tour de Pier has raised nearly eight million dollars for cancer research and support services.
WHEN: Sunday, September 12th from 8:30 am – 1:30 pm
WHERE: Manhattan Beach Pier & Strand, 2 Manhattan Beach Blvd., Manhattan Beach, CA 90266
HOW IT WORKS/REGISTRATION COST:
In-person Riders ($50 per rider with an additional $100 fundraising commitment) Registered participants for the in-person, outdoor ride (solo or team) will take shifts riding a stationary bike for five individual sessions. Each bike must have five riders and raise a total of $750. Historically, bikes sell out quickly so immediate registration is encouraged. Online registration will close on Thursday, September 2nd at midnight or as space permits.
Virtual Riders ($50 without a fundraising commitment) Cyclists who are unable to attend and ride in-person can register to be a virtual rider and be part of the fun and ride along in real-time by watching a live, virtual broadcast. An exclusive link to watch the live ride and a personal fundraising webpage will be provided upon registration completion. Virtual riders are not permitted to ride in the in-person, outdoor event in Manhattan Beach. Online registration will close on Thursday, September 2nd at midnight.
