St. Louis (KMOX) -- Ann Wagner announces she will run for re-election to Missouri's 2nd Congressional district in the House of Representatives. That means she won't seek to replace Roy Blunt in the United States Senate.
The Missouri Republican made the announcement in an op-ed in The Missouri Times on Tuesday morning.
Wagner was considering jumping into the Senate race that includes former Missouri Governor Eric Greitens, Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt, local attorney Mark McCloskey, among others.
In the op-ed, Wagner calls her 2nd district "personal to me and my family. It is home."
One of her challengers in the 2022 race will be Democratic State Representative Trish Gunby, who announced she's running for Wagner's Congressional seat.
