Madison County Board Chairman Kurt Prenzler joined the show to compare and contrast Missouri and Illinois.
Both states are handling reopening completely differently. Missouri has plans to gradually open places like dining, casinos, hair salons, and small businesses by May 18
. Illinois is fighting for their lives to reopen as soon as possible.
“The governor has threatened your livelihood,” he said.
Prenzler emphasized that the two states are living in two different worlds.
He did say that local leaders and heads of various municipalities are starting to request their autonomy and freedom, which has given the folks living in Southern Illinois hope.
