President of the Illinois Business Alliance Jared Carl said he is calling upon Governor Pritzker to get rid of the graduated income tax from the November ballot.
This is the cornerstone push Pritzker has in his administration right now.
“This raises are taxes and hurt the middle class,” Jared explained. Not to mention it would lead people to leave the state.
Jared said the idea is ‘all-bad’. When you look at places like Connecticut who adopted this type of tax, you see it did not move the needle for the state.
“Pritzker said he would do everything in is the power to help small business, but raising their taxes clearly would not help them right now,” he said.
