You have probably heard us singing the praises of these cookies on the air before. They are soooo yummy! Sue shared them as her "staff pick" on the show yesterday and they would be a great item to bake during social distancing season.

Here's the recipe:

Molasses Sugar Cookies

3/4 cup butter

1 cup sugar

1/4 cup molasses (Brer Rabbit)

1 egg

2 tsp. baking soda

2 cup sifted flour

1/2 tsp. EACH of ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and salt

Melt butter in saucepan over low heat. Remove from heat and cool. Add sugar, molasses, and egg. Beat well. Sift flour, soda, spices and salt; add to first mixture. Mix well. Chill. Form into 1-inch balls. Roll in sugar and place on a greased cookie sheet 2 inches apart Bake at 375 degrees for about 9 minutes.
