(KFTK – St. Louis) The mainstream media has picked up a new set of talking points. They include a ‘what if’ that implies President Trump could have saved lives if he would have pushed for stay-at-home orders a month earlier.

They are referring to the article in the New York Times, “He Could Have Seen What Was Coming: Behind Trump’s Failure on the Virus” written by Eric Lipton, David E. Sanger, Maggie Haberman, Michael D. Shear, Mark Mazzetti and Julian E. Barnes.

Marc is calling hogwash. Trying to rope Dr. Fauci into saying the administration was too slow to act is a pathetic attempt to get a soundbite. Sure, if we would have taken action sooner we may have slowed the spread. However, President Trump suspended travel to and from China in January and got pushback. In February, Dr. Fauci said we should keep doing what we’re doing and it wasn’t staying home.

If, if, if… sure but President Trump and the White House task force had to make a decision with the information they had.

The real “if” if you will is that China withheld information and now we have a global pandemic that we’re all trying to survive in both health and economy.
