Justice Ginsburg's "relationship with Justice Scalia is a wonderful, wonderful lesson' says SLU Law Professor Greg Willard

(KFTK) –  Former aide to President Gerald Ford and current SLU Law Professor Greg Willard joined Randy to discuss the passing of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

Willard tells Randy that the friendship between Justice Ginsburg and the late Antonin Scalia is, "indicative of a time-gone-by in the public square. I hope we can regain it, Randy."

"It just showed, in the public square, we can disagree without being disagreeable," says Willard.

Willard says Ginsburg in her long career as a lawyer, a wife, a mother and a friend, in addition to her time as a SCOTUS Justice,  "showed the American people that securing personal liberties and freedoms for our fellow citizens is not a zero-sum endevor.  We can secure the blessings of liberty and freedom for our neighbors, as she championed time and time again as a lawyer, and we can secure those blessings for our neighbors and we don't have to give up any of ours."
