However, the story has evolved from a hat, to how conversations about race are approached.
“I’ve been here twenty years, this is not a racist area,” says Flower.
In his opinion, the issue is the ability to have difficult discussions without fear or judgment. The people of Eureka want to support the police and celebrate a diverse community.
