Governor Mike Parson announced this week that Missouri will be ending weekly $300 federal COVID unemployment benefits.
Parson joins the show to discuss ending the program.
“We’re well beyond the crisis now.”
Missouri lawmakers passed legislation limiting local pandemic restrictions and Parson signals support.
He also supports a fuel tax increase. He notes that if individuals take issue with the tax, they don’t have to pay if they save their receipts and apply for a refund.
PDMP also passed the Missouri legislature this session. Parson says he has always supported the program for law enforcement purposes. He believes the bill that passed adequately addresses privacy concerns.
