97.1 FM Talk host Mark Reardon was invited to experience flight with the U.S. Navy Blue Angels ahead of the Spirit of St. Louis Air Show and STEM Expo this weekend.
“We took off, he kept asking me, ‘You doing fine?’ We go full vertical, I'm doing fine, we pull a few Gs, I'm doing fine. I think we got up to five. And then he said, ‘well, how about if we do this upside down?’ And at that point I said, ‘give me a second.’ So I took about 60 seconds and I did, I felt okay, didn’t feel nauseous or anything. So we flipped over, we went upside down and we're only doing that for like 10 seconds. So, you know, it was a little weird because you know, you're kind of getting tossed in a different position and then as soon as he flipped me over, that was, it was all downhill from there,” Reardon shared.
He continued, “I think I matched Kelly Clarkson. But you know, it's just one of those things where I feel like I do after I rode a century on my bike, which I used to do many of those where you're just like completely exhausted and got the crap beat out of you. That's kind of how I feel right now.”
