Governor Parson canceling MO $300 COVID unemployment benefits

Missouri Governor Mike Parson said it was time for the state to be done with the unemployment benefits and encourage them to get back to work.
On Monday, President Biden said he doesn't believe these extended unemployment benefits are deterring folks from wanting to get their job back or apply for other jobs that are available.
Parson completely disagrees. He says we need to get people back to these demands and to grow business and grow this economy again, but it can't happen if people feel like they are doing better being at home and getting a paycheck from the government.
How has Missouri fared over the course of this pandemic?
"The credit goes to a balanced approach that we had," he said. "We didn't overstrict and we didn't shut the economy down."
He said Missouri revenue is up and when you look at other states that had steady lockdowns, they are barely scraping by. Allowing each region to make their own decision is how Missouri was successful.
