A Kentucky prosecutor has been suspended for offering to help a defendant in exchange for nude photos.
Eastern Kentucky prosecutor Ronnie Goldy on Friday was suspended by the Kentucky Supreme Court, and could also be permanently disbarred.
Goldy is accused of exchanging more than 230 pages of Facebook messages with a female defendant, the Louisville Courier Journal reported. In exchange for the photos, Goldy withdrew warrants and had cases continued, according to the newspaper.
Goldy told the court that he did not remember sending the messages but he also did not deny it, the Associated Press reported.
A petition filed in July to temporarily ban Goldy from practice said he abused the trust of the public and brought the legal system into disrepute," according to the Courier Journal.

In its order, the court noted that it could only suspend Goldy, and not remove him as commonwealth's attorney, because elected officials can only be removed by impeachment, the newspaper reported.
