SLU grad not surprised by viral video of students destroying pro-life display on campus

2020 SLU Grad Lucy Gonzalez says destruction of pro-life displays on college campuses, "is definitely something that happens across the country."

Marc revisited the controversy from earlier this week where a display of flags to memorialize abortions, set up on the campus of Saint Louis University, was damaged by several students.

2020 SLU graduate Lucy Gonzalez, from Students for Life of America, says she wasn't surprised to hear about the vandalism.

"Students for Life groups across the country put up displays of all kinds of things, the flag display is one that they typically do, to memorialize lives lost by abortion," says Gonzalez. Over the years, several other campus displays have been damaged as well, "this is definitely something that happens across the country to lots of Students for Life groups." (Above)

Earlier this week, Marc spoke with current student Rachel Morgan about the incident.

“It seems really shocking from the outside, but as a pro-lifer and one who’s been in this movement for a while, I would be outraged too if I was lied to. You know if I was brought up thinking that killing an unborn child was just like going to the doctor, just like going to the dentist, I would be outraged too when someone else told me that I had been lied to,” Morgan said.

Morgan continued, “this isn’t shocking to us, you know its reasonable that they are upset, and I only wish that we could direct that outrage to really recognizing the truth and the beauty of life that’s within and to see the good that we’re doing with this movement.”
