ST. LOUIS (97.1 FM TALK) - A man has his pants stolen right off his legs after he was hit in the face with a gun in north St. Louis.
On Sunday afternoon police say a man approached the victim, who is a 23-year-old man, on foot inside a residential building in the 4800 block of Hammett Place. Police say the suspect hit the victim in the face with a gun and then stole his pants, which contained money, a cellphone and various personal cards.
Police say then victim also had a gun and shot at the suspect who was running away down some stairs. The suspect also fired his gun back at the victim, but police say no one was shot in the incident.
The victim sustain a laceration to his face and was transported to a hospital by EMS in stable condition. Police say an investigation is underway and the suspect remains at large.
