Nothing in the fashion world should come as a shock anymore. Designers operate in their own planet, one that operates on its own rules, and normal society will just never understand.
Which is why Balenciaga is now selling a purse that looks exactly like a bag of Lay’s potato chips for $1,800.
We wish we could explain it, or have someone explain it to us, but we’re guessing we just wouldn’t “get it.”
According to the New York Post, the purse comes from the mind of creative director Denma, and comes in four colors: red, green, blue, and yellow, the colors of actual Lay’s flavors.
The bag also features a metallic silver lining and zipper at the top.
The “Lay’s x Balenciaga Potato Chip Bag Clutch” is set to be released alongside the fashion house’s Summer 2023 “The Mud Show” collection later this year.
