Sometimes the universe sends you a signal that you shouldn’t be doing what you’re doing, and this was definitely the case for a group of thieves who stole a car and then immediately drove it into a cop car.

The Woodstock Police Department in Ontario shared in a press release that they had received a call of a break and enter in progress on Friday at 4:30 a.m.

Officers were sent to the scene of the reported theft, and upon their arrival they found three suspects in a stolen Chevrolet Silverado. But while most would assume that the next event to occur would be a car chase, the thieves decided to make it easy on the officers.

It was at this point that the driver of the stolen vehicle drove directly into the police car responding to the theft, authorities shared. Both cars involved in the crash were damaged, but the officer driving the cop car was left uninjured.

Police said that the three suspects exited the Silverado and fled on foot following the crash. With the help of other officers and a K9 Unit, the three were found and placed under arrest.
