Frequent Randy Tobler Show guest, Erica Komisar joined the show recently to shed some light on a new proposal from the Joe Biden Administration.
Komisar, a parent coach and LCSW, has some reservations over a part of the "American Rescue Plan" which includes a "Universal Child Care" provision.
"I have a great many concerns about this," says Komisar. "The plan is proposing that universal child care, what we call "institutional group care" for children will become the norm in America rather than providing parents with the resources to make their own decisions about how they want to care for their children."
Komisar continued: "According to a new study, most parents do not want daycare or "Universal Child Care," they want the ability to care for their own children. So there are alternatives which t the government is not really looking at."
