A pair of trick-or-treaters from Northwest Indiana were caught on video doing something really sweet on Halloween.

Now the siblings are getting recognized for their selfless act.

When faced with an empty candy bin outside a home in Lowell Monday night, Camden and Macie Chesner decided to put some of their own Halloween candy inside.

It was caught on security camera video and the homeowner shared the generous moment to social media.

Hammond Firefighters Local 556 President Mike Hull (HALL) says they put out the call and helped track down their mother.

He calls what the kids did a great thing that could “change the mindset” of others.

The union is throwing a pizza party for the kids and their classmates in fourth and first grades at Oak Hill Elementary next week on Thursday as a thank you.
