Major League Baseball's labor agreement with its players expired overnight, and KMOX's Tom Ackerman explained what's next.
"All transactions have been halted, you can't do any signings," Ackerman told Marc Cox. "The teams can actually talk to each other about trades, if they wanted to. That's about the only loophole there, otherwise you can't talk to players, can't talk to agents!"
Tom pointed out that the MLB App no longer has any information about any players, "there are no references to players on it, whatsoever. All content regarding players has been wiped out."
Ackerman couldn't say when this lockout would end, "there are philosophical differences between the players and the owners."
This is the first labor stoppage since a player strike in 1994-95, and the ninth overall.
