Despite reports that more Americans have stashed cash during the pandemic, according to PwC’s Retirement in America Report, 1 in 4 Americans have no retirement savings.
For those who do have savings, the report found that the median retirement account balance for 55-to-64-year-olds is $120,000. Broken down over 15-years, that would generate less than $1K/month.
“It is a disaster,” says business and marketing analyst Craig Huey.
Because of federal government spending, prices are rising.
Huey stresses the importance of personal investment and planning.
