OPINION: Cox: ESPN's Sage Steele 'may very well be out of a job' for podcast comments

Steele is under fire for talking about Barack Obama, praising Candace Owens & calling Covid vaccine mandates 'sick' in a podcast

ESPN reporter Sage Steele has been pulled off the air at ESPN following her comments on Jay Cutler's podcast "Uncut", and Marc Cox thinks it may be just the beginning of the end for her.

"Clearly talking about Barack Obama, praising Candace Owen and calling the mandate sick, violated ESPN's rules, and this woman may very well be out of a job, says Cox. "She's at least been suspended from her work at ESPN, that's the America you live in these days, if you can believe that."

"I've been sitting here listening to you with my jaw on the ground, I had not heard about this story," said Charmaine Yoest from Heritage as her segment began. "This is astonishing, I kept waiting for you to get to the punchline."

Yoest continued, "at this point if you can be suspended from your job for just the very banal, plain vanilla kinds of things she said, that's outrageous."
