Illinois may repeal act requiring parents to be notified if child has an abortion

Illinois State Representative Amy Elik gave an update to The Annie Frey Show on the current veto session of the Illinois General Assembly. The original purpose of the veto session is to consider any bill that the Governor of Illinois has vetoed during the regular session. Unfortunately, Elik points out, that in this session, almost any bill can be brought to the floor passed.

Elik said that there are many bills being looked at including an attempt to make changes to The Healthcare Right of Conscience Act, Congressional Maps, and repealing the Illinois Parental Notification Act. Repealing that act will eliminate the requirement that parents are notified if their child has an abortion. Listen to the full interview above.
