WSJ columnist: Media painted Trump 'as a racist' from day one

Conservative columnist Jason Riley from the Wall Street Journal has penned a new book touting the success of Black Americans during the presidency of Donald Trump. The Black Boom's premise, according to Riley, is that "Blacks saw economic progress under Trump that the Obama administration didn't come close to matching."

"The economic advancement of Blacks under Donald Trump prior to the pandemic, was a very under-told story, that's something the media largely ignored," Riley told Marc Cox, "they had painted the president as a racist, frankly, from day one."

"In fact, what we saw under Trump; record low unemployment, record low poverty, and wages rising faster for Blacks than they were for whites, I just thought that was an important story to tell, particularly since the current administration wants to roll-back a lot of the policies that I think led to what we saw helping low-income minorities under the previous president," says Riley.
