Facing term-limits in the Jefferson City, Dave Schatz, the Pro Tem in the Missouri Senate, has tossed his hat into the crowded primary field for the soon-to-be-vacant US Senate seat in the state.
"I'm a real common-sense person," Schatz told the Marc Cox Morning Show. "I think Washington DC's broke, it doesn't work for everyday citizens. There are too many fakes and frauds in DC, they're worried about self-promotion, ladder-climbing politicians. They're not doing what's best for the American public."
Will Schatz support the current leadership in the US Senate if he wins? "If it wasn't for Mitch McConnell's leadership, Merrick Garland would be on the Supreme Court," says Schatz. "I can tell you one thing, he [McConnell] delivered."
