In a brief interview this morning, Marc Cox spoke with Chair of the St. Louis County Republican Central Committee, Rene Artman. The two spoke about the unique situation happening in the upcoming Missouri elections as Katherine Pinner petitions to have her name removed from the ballot as the Republican candidate for St. Louis County executive. Pinner won the primary race unexpectedly despite her interesting campaign strategy as she raised no money, used no social media for her campaign efforts, and posted no yard signs.
In a blog post by Pinner, she sated that she was dropping out of the race due to "traditional campaigning and financing" not corresponding with her values, although Pinner is also currently pursuing a lawsuit against her former employer over mask and vaccine mandates.
