The Illinois gubernatorial primary is heating up and attack ads have followed suit. Aroura Mayor and GOP hopeful, Richard Irvin joined The Annie Frey Show to discuss his campaign. Irvin also gave explanations for some of the claims made by attack ads. Irvin says that the Democrat party and more specifically, Governor J.B. Pritzker, see him as a threat and do not want to face him in the general election.
"He’s trying to pick the person he is going to run against," said Irvin
Irvin consistently affirmed that he is a Republican and repeatedly pointed to his record and history as evidence. Irvin even gave an answer on who he voted for in the 2016 election.
