The recently passed Inflation Reduction Act has a provision in it to allow the IRS to hire 87,000 more agents. While the Democrats have argued that these new agents would not be targeting middle-class Americans, Attorney General Eric Schmitt pointed out that the Democrats voted down an amendment to the bill that would have prohibited these new agents from auditing middle-class families and small businesses. Schmitt also says that his office sent a letter to the IRS questioning why they need to hire agents who would be armed.
"This is part and parcel of the weaponization of the federal government against the American people," said Schmitt.
Schmitt also discussed student loan forgiveness and Dr. Fauci's announcement that he will be stepping down in December. Schmitt says that day cannot come soon enough and that if the Republicans take the Senate, they need to have January 6th committee-style hearings where they call Dr. Fauci in to answer questions about why the pandemic was handled so poorly. Schmitt spoke on a multitude of topics which can be found in the audio above or on the podcast. Don't forget to download the Audacy App so you never miss an episode of The Annie Frey Show.
