Recently, the nation found out that Democrat Joe Machin was a no vote on President Biden’s Build Back Better plan. This has left the Democratic Party wondering if their elected representative is thinking of jumping ship.
“I don’t know why Joe Manchin remains in the Democratic Party,” says Deroy Murdock. “He’d be much more comfortable, appreciated in the Republican Party.”
Manchin’s opposition to the plan has split the left between those who are vilifying the Senator, and the Democratic colleagues who have softened up on the matter since Manchin snuffed out Build Back Better. The former could present a problem to the left, as Manchin has said in the past that if the party were to kick him out, he would leave.
“If I were a Democrat I would say to these hotheads screaming at Manchin… don’t berate the guy,” Murdock says. “If he decides to leave [the Democratic Party], they lose majority. There will then be 51 seats among Republicans.”
The Democratic Party stands on shaky ground as new opposition from the left threatens Biden’s plans. Fox News Contributor Deroy Murdock joins to break it down.
