For days, Americans have heard that the Build Back Better Bill will cost nothing, but 3.5 trillion dollar price tag on this bill doesn’t add up with claims made by Speaker Nancy Pelosi and President Joe Biden that the bill pays for itself. Republicans in Congress, and even more moderate Democrats, are pushing back on this historically expensive bill, unpersuaded by the persevering far left.
“They’re obviously in complete disarray,” says RNC Rapid Response Director Tommy Pigott, “[the Democrats’] agenda is so bad, they can’t even agree on a schedule of when to pass it, let alone the ideological differences between them.”
Pigott believes that President Biden and Speaker Pelosi get their zero dollar total from the fact that taxpayers will be supplying the trillions of dollars needed for the bill.
“They think it’s free because it’s going to empower them, it’s going to enrich the swamp, while making everyone else poor.”
Tommy Pigott joins Annie Frey to break down the total price tag of the bill and what needs to be done instead.
