Missouri House passes bill requiring photo ID at voting polls

Bill sponsor Representative John Simmons said we need to have integrity back at the ballot box and that is why this bill was created and passed in the leadership in the House.
"Basically it is helping to ensure we don't have a disenfranchisement of legal votes," he said.
There have been bills before that have addressed photo ID. How does this bill differ?
Simmons said there was a back-and-forth about showing a none photo ID, like a bank bill, to be able to vote previously. This bill perfectly outlines why a photo ID is essential to identify you are who you say you are at the ballot box; therefore, it's vital to present. Does this make it harder for people to vote?
Simmons says it doesn't make it more difficult, in fact, just the opposite has happened. More folks have come to vote.
