Former Marine Corps Gunnery Sergeant and co-chair of Veterans for Trump Jessie Jane Duff reacted forcefully to the quick fall of Afghanistan to the Taliban as US Troops began their long-planned pullout of the region.
"It's distressing; what in the heck happened?" asked Duff. "We've been there 20 years and the best we could do is pull out in the dead of night and have the entire nation collapse."
"I'm devastated for all of my veteran friends who served over there. I'm devastated for the mothers and fathers who lost their sons in battle over there," said Duff. "For us to pull out like this is such an embarrassment."
Duff didn't want the US to stay in Afghanistan, and thinks that a pullout following the death of Osama Bin Laden would have been best, "but we allowed ourselves to get sucked in more and more. And what ended up happening was the country could not sustain itself without our presence."
