(WWJ) It's the end of the road for multiple couches, several pieces of wicker furniture and at least one wooden bench.
Michigan State University football fans celebrated a 37-33 win over the University of Michigan Wolverines by setting fires in East Lansing on Saturday.
Speaking to WWJ's Jeff Lesson near the MSU campus, East Lansing Fire battalion chief Derrick Johnson said more than two dozen fires were reported.
"They're nothing new," Johnson said, about half-an-hour after the game. "We deal with this almost every game...this is a unique event in the fact that there are more people in town."

Photos and video on social media showed couches and other objects in flames, as cheering students congregated in large groups.
Police were seen taking away at least one couch near Cedar Village, a well-known party spot.
Video and photos showed a vehicle at Cedar Village was intentionally flipped, with students climbing on to celebrate atop the car.
Elena Durnbaugh, a journalist with the Lansing State Journal, reported on Twitter that East Lansing Fire had responded to at least 15 fires before 5 p.m. By 5:30 p.m., she said that number had doubled to 30.
Since the late 90s, burning couches has become something of a tradition following big games at MSU... win or lose.
Despite the mayhem, Johnson said authorities were not too concerned.
"We got enough police in the city to handle the crowds," he said. "Right now, we're going to allow them to congregate and they will eventually disperse."
As of early Saturday evening, no serious injuries had been reported in association with the post-game celebrations. It's not clear at this time if arrests have been made, but there was a significant police presence at several celebration locations on and near campus.
