Earlier this week, 97.3 The Fan's Ben Higgins reported that he was told that Philip Rivers was moving his family from San Diego to Florida:

I’ve been told by a couple people in the past two weeks that the Rivers family is leaving San Diego and moving to Florida. Haven’t been able to confirm it. Rivers does vacation there but I’m told this is a permanent move. Not sure what it means for his football career. https://t.co/W0jou6Pt5p

On Sunday, Rivers confirmed the news to ESPN's Adam Schefter and Chris Mortensen:

Phillip Rivers has confirmed to @AdamSchefter and me that he and his family have moved out of his San Diego home to Florida. His text: "What this means football wise is to be determined but it was time for us to move back closer to home."
