Three Long Bombs The Difference As Rockies Power Past Padres 8-6

David Dahl, Charlie Blackmon and Trevor Story all homered with men on base Saturday night, leading the Colorado Rockies to an 8-6 victory over the San Diego Padres at Coors Field.

Dahl hit a three-run shot in the first and Blackmon hit a two-run shot in the fifth, both off Padres starter Zach Davies (0-2). Story's blast, a two-run shot off reliever Craig Stammen in the seventh, provided what proved to be the winning runs.

San Diego (5-4) was held in check by winner Antonio Senzatela and Jairo Diaz until the ninth when Ty France's grand slm off Jake McGee made it an 8-6 game. Eric Hosmer singled with one out, but closer Scott Oberg came on to srike out slumping Tommy Pham and Wil Myers to end the game.
