According to MLB.com's AJ Cassavell, Padres shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr. is likely to land on the Injured List as a result of the hamstring injury he sustained during Sunday's game against the Nationals. While the extent of Tatis' injury isn't yet known, several reports indicate that this isn't a severe injury, indicating that Tatis may be available to return to the team after a short stint on the Injured List.
Fernando Tatis Jr. is expected to land on the injured list later today. The extent of his hamstring injury still isn't clear, and he's undergoing tests. But the Padres aren't going to take any chances with their 20-year-old top prospect.
